Twinleaf Town (フタバタウン, futaba town) - Leave your house - Enter your rival's house (the large one in the top left) - Leave the town through the north.
Route 201 (201ばんどうろ, 201-ban doro) - Meet Prof. Rowan and pick a starter Pokémon - Battle rival: <Your anti-starter> Lv. 5 (Your rival will pick the starters whose type is advantageous against yours)
Twinleaf Town - Receive Running Shoes from mom - Meet your rival and travel to Lake Verity via west Route 201.
Lake Verity (シンジこ, shinji-ko) - Catch a glimpse of Galactic Boss Cyrus
Sandgem Town (マサゴタウン, masago town) - Receive Pokedex (ポケモンずかん. pokemon zukan), TM27 from Prof. Rowan - Head back to Twinleaf via Route 201
Twinleaf Town - Receive Journal from mom - Receive parcel - Return to Sandgem Town and Route 202
Route 202 - Learn how to catch Pokémon from Dawn; receive 5 Poké Balls (モンスターボール, monster ball) - Trainer battle: Starly Lv. 5 (60 EXP) - 80 yen - Trainer battle: Bidoof Lv. 5 (61 EXP) - 80 yen - Trainer battle: Burmy (Plant forme) Lv. 5 (64 EXP) - 80 yen
Jubilife City (コトブキシティ, kotobuki city) - Receive Battle Recorder (バトルレコーダー, battle recorder) from Handsome - Deliver parcel to Pokemon schoolteacher; receive Town Map - Collect three coupons from clowns around the city; receive Poketch (ポケッチ, poketch)
Oreburgh Gate (クロガネゲート, kurogane gate) - Receive HM06: Rock Smash from the traveler near the cave's entrance - Trainer battle: Starly Lv. 7 (84 EXP), Shinx Lv. 7 (90 EXP) - 112 yen - Trainer battle: Bidoof Lv. 9 (111 EXP) - 144 yen
